Turn  an uninviting room in a new home into a sophisticated space for family and entertaining.

Design Goals

Incorporate the client’s favorite colors in designing a room comfortable enough for use by the couple’s family but refined enough for entertaining clients. Reference the client’s classic and collected style for this room.

Design Services

• • Built up the room’s architectural elements:  added moldings, enhanced and added detail to the fireplace to make it a focal point, and reworked a substandard built in.
  • Installed natural grass cloth on the walls as a warm backdrop.
  • Designed custom window treatments with richly printed linen panels framing woven wood blinds.
  • Specified comfortable seating for adults with deep sofas in a rich chocolate velvet, and accented with pillows that reflect the colors in collected pottery and favored artwork.
